Post-laminectomy syndrome is more commonly known as “failed back surgery.” Individuals who have been subject to a failed back surgery know how frustrating this can be when their pain is not eliminated. There can be several causes of why the pain is still present and sometimes even worse than pre-surgery.
Various factors can be the culprit, but in many cases, the nerve root at the surgery site may not heal properly. We have seen some cases where a reoccurrence a disc herniation and even a new disc may become inflamed.
